Captain of the Moscow "Locomotive" Barinov moved to CSKA

Dmitry Barinov, captain of the Moscow football club (FC) Lokomotiv and midfielder of the Russian national football team, joined FC CSKA. This was reported on January 13 on the website of the army.

"FC Lokomotiv and PFC CSKA have signed a transfer agreement for Dmitry Barinov to join the Army team," the publication says.

In total, the athlete participated in 274 matches for FC Lokomotiv (including the Champions League and the Europa League), and scored 13 goals.

The CSKA press service added that the player will leave with the team for training camps in Abu Dhabi today.

Barinov played 23 matches for the Russian national team, in three of which he went out with the captain's armband. Starting from the 2022/23 season, he became the captain of Lokomotiv.

On January 12, Barinov stated that FC Lokomotiv had not made him a new contract extension offer. He also confirmed that he is aware of the interest of FC CSKA Moscow in his possible joining the team.
