In Novokuznetsk, the admission of patients to obstetric hospital No. 1 of the city clinical hospital No. 1 named after G.P. Kurbatov has been temporarily discontinued. The decision was made for sanitary and epidemiological reasons, according to the website of the medical institution.

"Due to exceeding the threshold for the incidence of respiratory infection in obstetric hospital No. 1 NGKB No. 1 named after G.P. Kurbatov, hospitalization of patients has been suspended for the duration of quarantine measures for sanitary and epidemiological reasons," the report says.

The hospital clarified that there is no shortage of staff in the hospital. The opening date will be announced later.

Olga Karaseva, an emergency medical assistant, spoke on November 5 last year about the actions at the beginning of sudden contractions at home, and not in the hospital. As the expert noted, an ambulance call must be made even if there is doubt. She advised expectant mothers to prepare for childbirth in advance — to attend courses and study the process in order to reduce stress and increase the chances of a successful birth.
