In Kamchatka, all flights were postponed due to a powerful cyclone. This was announced on January 13 by the Government of the Kamchatka Territory.

"Central and local flights have been canceled due to bad weather, the cyclone is accompanied by heavy rainfall and squally winds. According to weather conditions, a decision will be made to resume air transportation," the agency's Telegram channel said.

It is noted that suburban and inter-municipal bus services were canceled.

"It's great weather to build a snowman. By the way, this snowdrift behind my back was once called a car...> Some motorists have already been trapped in the snow and are unlikely to get out of it until tomorrow," journalist Alexander Stepanenko told Izvestia.

Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos Weather Center, reported on January 10 that the snowfall recorded in the capital broke a half-century record, becoming the most intense in the last 56 years. He specified that during the day, 22 mm of precipitation fell into the precipitation meter at the VDNKh weather station, which was 42% of the monthly norm.

Due to the incident on the night of Friday, January 9, to Saturday, January 10, traffic on some sections of the MKAD was almost paralyzed, and the work of Moscow airways was disrupted.
