- The ex-host of "Heads and Tails" was not allowed to enter the United States and was sent to prison for a day.
The former host of the TV show "Heads and Tails" Vasilisa Khvostova, who left Russia, was not allowed to enter the United States, her visa was canceled and she was deported from the country. On January 12, she told about this on the Instagram social network (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).
The TV presenter reported that when passing through passport control in New York, customs officers were confused by the abundance of stamps in her passport, as well as a suspicious description of her profile on a social network ("seven years of sexy travel"). After that, Khvostova was asked to undergo an additional baggage inspection, during which a notebook with notes called "Vulgar Bible" was found in her belongings.
"And then he gets my BDSM costume out of the luggage."… Well, it was just my Halloween costume. Well, anyway, I think we had a laugh, they're going to let me go now. But no, they took me to the third room for interrogation," Khvostova said.
At the end of the interrogation, the officers informed the Russian woman that her entry to the United States was undesirable, and her visa was canceled. Khvostova was sent to an immigration prison, and a day later she was deported to the European Union (EU), from where she came to the United States.
On December 7, 2025, The New York Times (NYT) reported that about 50 citizens of Iran, Russia and Arab countries were deported from the United States. The plane with them took off from the airport in Mesa, Arizona, and then dropped off during landings in Egypt and Kuwait.
