In Pyatigorsk (Stavropol Territory), the emergency bridge on Kalinin Avenue was closed for reconstruction. The contractor has already entered the facility, said the mayor Dmitry Voroshilov in his Telegram channel on Monday, January 12.

The contractor is currently preparing for the dismantling of the bridge structures. Work is underway to remove the top layer of asphalt, demolish fences and install a new fence on the site.

"The transport problem will not disappear, the travel time will increase, and it is necessary to plan your route taking into account the current situation. We are waiting for proposals from the city traffic police on possible changes in certain sections of the road network," Voroshilov said, noting that the movement of public transport is also being adjusted.

As stated by Stavropol.Media, traffic is completely closed at the time of work on the bridge over the Podkumok River. In fact, the reconstruction of the ferry implies the construction of a new facility. In October 2025, the mayor announced that the contractor would carry out the dismantling of the old bridge and the construction of a new one during 2026.
