A sharp cold snap is expected in the Urals and Siberia during the week from January 12 to January 18. This was reported to Izvestia by Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecasting center.

According to him, in the coming days, 30-degree frosts will cover the Urals and southern Siberia. So, on January 13, the temperature in Yekaterinburg and Tyumen may drop to -30...-35 degrees, and on January 14-15 in Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Barnaul and Krasnoyarsk — to -35 ...-38 degrees.

The expert noted that these regions will face the most dramatic and severe weather changes in the near future. In addition, the cold snap will affect Moscow and the Moscow region, where the air temperature may drop to -25 degrees next weekend.
