Rosrybolovstvo announced an increase in the production of red caviar by a third

The production of red caviar in Russia in 2025 increased by more than a third compared to 2024. This was announced on January 12 by the head of Rosrybolovstvo Ilya Shestakov.

"We produced 35% more red caviar than a year earlier, about 14-15 thousand," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Shestakov also noted that Russians will not experience a shortage of these products.

On January 2, German Zverev, President of the All-Russian Association of Fishermen (VARPE), said that there were no prerequisites for a shortage and rise in price of red caviar on the Russian market during the Carnival period. According to him, even during the New Year and holidays, there was a high demand for red caviar, but the situation in the segment of this product remained stable.
