13 aftershocks have been recorded in Kamchatka over the past day. This was announced on January 12 in the Main Directorate (GU) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.

"13 aftershocks of magnitude up to 4.8 occurred during the day. They were not felt in populated areas," the TASS news agency quoted.

It is noted that the earthquakes have awakened some volcanoes.
