The death toll during the protests in Iran has risen to 78 people, more than 2.6 thousand people have been arrested. This was reported on January 10 by CNN.

"According to the American human rights organization, at least 78 protesters were killed and more than 2,600 arrested during two weeks of anti—government protests," the publication says.

It is noted that the demonstrations covered more than 180 cities of Iran.
