Over the past few years, home buyers have become more likely to use raised tones and show pickiness and exactingness when making deals. This was announced on January 11 by Oleg Sedov, co-founder and head of Moduldom Yug, in an interview with Gazeta.Ru».

"Clients approach the choice of a house consciously and very meticulously, because they understand that they are investing money in a place where they will live for years," the expert noted.

According to him, buyers already initially come with the intention of being able to "knock out" as much benefit as possible for themselves.

One of the reasons for this behavior may be stress due to rising prices and surging mortgage rates. This is also influenced by watching news feeds, realtors' chats, and real estate forecasts, which "charges" buyers for appropriate behavior. At the same time, representatives of the older generation are usually the most demanding.

"The older the client, the more aggressive they tend to be in negotiations. Such people actively bargain, trying to get the maximum options in the minimum budget. Young people, on the contrary, are more likely to behave more loyally," Sedov said.

Earlier, on December 24, it was reported. That in the Russian Federation, interest in apartments in new buildings increased by 10% over the year, and November 2025 became a record month in terms of the number of registered equity participation agreements. The leaders in the number of transactions were Moscow (8.1 thousand DDU), Moscow region (5.5 thousand), St. Petersburg (3.6 thousand), Krasnodar Territory and Sverdlovsk Region (3.2 thousand each). The share of mortgage transactions reached 74%, an increase of 12 percentage points over the year.
