The Russian Foreign Ministry has rejected accusations of attacks on the Qatari Embassy in Kiev.

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has rejected reports that Russia was allegedly involved in the damage to the Qatari embassy in Kiev. This was reported on January 9 on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

"For the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, diplomatic missions have never been targets of fire damage," the ministry stressed.

The Russian Foreign Ministry added that the damage to the Qatari embassy building indicates a malfunction of the Ukrainian air defense system, and not the actions of the Russian military.
