A large explosion was recorded on the sun

An explosion was recorded in the Sun. This was announced on January 8 at the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Institute of Space Research (IKI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

"A large explosion was registered in the Sun in the middle of the day — the incoming images from the coronographs show the substance flying in different directions. The source of the explosion was on the far side of the Sun, and no satellites are currently being observed," said a message on the Telegram channel of the IKI RAS.

It is noted that the site of the explosion will be visible only in a week. The cause of the explosion has not been determined.
