Trump commented on the murder of a woman in Minneapolis during a protest
On January 7, US President Donald Trump commented on the shooting of an immigration officer (ICE) at a woman in Minneapolis. In his opinion, the murder of the woman occurred in self-defense.
"The woman screaming was obviously a professional agitator, and the woman driving the car behaved very erratically, obstructed and resisted, after which she brutally, intentionally and brutally knocked down an ICE officer, who apparently shot her in self—defense," Trump wrote on his Truth Social network.
He noted that the incident occurred due to threats from people of radical leftist views, who, according to the American leader, threaten ICE. The purpose of immigration agents is to ensure security in the United States.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that a 37-year-old woman, who was a US citizen, was shot dead in Minneapolis during an operation involving ICE agents. According to the Ministry of Internal Security, she allegedly tried to use a car to run over employees and escape. The FBI and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are investigating the shooting. The mayor of the city called on ICE agents to leave Minneapolis.
Later, mass protests began after the incident. According to the TV channel, the protesters are pushing police officers and ICE agents out of the area, throwing snowballs at them and hitting official vehicles.
