The academy team of the Spartak football club (FC) Roman Zobnin, including children, was poisoned in Sochi. This was announced on January 7 by the academy's press service.

"The entire team of coaches and the administration of the academy does not leave the children, doing everything possible to improve their condition. <...> The Academy will not leave this situation, and all measures will be applied," the TASS news agency quoted the academy as saying.

To date, the condition of most children has improved.

On the same day, it was reported that a check was being carried out in Sochi after the mass poisoning of a children's rugby team at a hotel in the resort village of Loo. It was noted that schoolchildren aged 10-12 came to the city to participate in sports competitions.

The Moscow Rugby Federation reported that nothing threatens the health of children after poisoning in Sochi. It was clarified that not a single child was hospitalized by ambulance, doctors were on duty at the hotel all night, and all necessary measures were taken promptly. Later, a criminal case was opened into the poisoning.
