Russian instructors in the Central African Republic (CAR) are working successfully, and their work has brought many results. This was announced on January 7 by the current president of the CAR, Faustin-Arcange Touadera.

"We continue this cooperation and highly appreciate it: it allows us to train Central African military personnel and support us in security matters. The work is going well and fruitfully," TASS quoted him as saying.

As for the issue of increasing the number of instructors from the Russian Federation in the CAR, this issue should be discussed at bilateral talks, Touadera said. Russians stay on the territory of the republic in compliance with all norms of international law. The head of state also did not rule out that after his election victory, the Central African Republic would continue to purchase Russian weapons.

"It's possible. It all depends on the level of our cooperation and the resources we have at our disposal. Our goal is to create a strong army that will protect the population and protect their property," he said.

In December 2025, the CAR's ambassador to the Russian Federation, Leon Dodonu-Punagaza, told Izvestia that the situation in the Central African Republic had stabilized thanks to Russia. According to him, with the French military and the international UN forces, the people of the Central African Republic were exterminated, but Russia "heard the cry of the Central African people and intervened."

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
