A couple rescued an emaciated tiger cub in the Khabarovsk Territory.
In the Khabarovsk Territory, a married couple rescued an emaciated tiger cub from a frozen river. This was announced on January 7 by the Amur Tiger Center in its Telegram channel.
It is noted that two cubs were found, one of which died. They were taken to the Amur Tiger Center for further examination. It turned out that the surviving cub had no injuries, but there was inflammation of the internal organs.
"The inspectors of the Hunting Supervision of the Khabarovsk Territory did not find any traces of an adult tigress at the place where the cubs were found. Most likely, the female left the babies in the den and went hunting, from which she did not return. Maybe it's people's fault. Without waiting for their mother, the kittens went searching on their own," suggested Yuri Kolpak, head of the hunting department of the Khabarovsk Territory government.
Today, the tiger cub is feeling better. Despite this, he will not be able to return to the wild.
Earlier, in February 2025, a tiger cub was caught in the Primorsky Territory, in the Olginsky municipal district. He was transferred to a rehabilitation center for wild animals, where he was examined by veterinarians. It turned out to be a female about 3-5 months old. Her weight is 24 kg. The tiger cub was severely dehydrated and critically malnourished.
