- An eyewitness told about the actions of the police during the raid at the Harvest Fest festival.
During a raid by law enforcement officers at the Harvest Fest underground rock band festival in Moscow, the security forces were looking for some specific people. One of the event's visitors told Izvestia about this on January 7.
"As far as I understood, they were looking for some specific people. I don't know who. Musicians, extremists, maybe someone said something unnecessary on the Internet... Some junkies were caught," the source said.
He noted that some heavy music groups are teetering on the edge of things declared illegal in the Russian Federation. The same applies to fans of similar bands.
An eyewitness said that during the raid, law enforcement officers communicated with the guests politely and within their authority.
"Politely, but in raised tones, they asked everyone to lie face down on the floor. In my opinion, we worked as culturally as possible... They say to lie down means you have to lie down, even on a dirty floor. The riot police were working," the source added.
The security forces' raid on the music festival was reported on the evening of January 6. It is noted that law enforcement officers broke into the institution. According to eyewitnesses, several people had their documents checked. Law enforcement officers also carried out several arrests.
During the events, REN-TV correspondent Anton Shlyachkov was beaten by law enforcement officers. After about 40 minutes of waiting, the man was finally released, saying "go all four ways."
