Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, Head of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin and First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov fulfilled children's dreams as part of the Christmas Tree of Wishes charity event.
"Happy New Year! Wishes come true. Are there any more?" Siluanov, who fulfilled the dream of 13-year-old Timur Demin from Moscow, asked.
The Finance Minister organized a meeting between the boy and figure skater Roman Kostomarov. Timur, a master of sports in swimming, who underwent foot amputation surgery, dreamed of meeting an athlete who was able to overcome difficulties after a serious illness.
Reshetnikov, in turn, helped 15-year-old Alyona Kurilova "almost to be a guide." A girl in a Russian Railways uniform set off on a flight from Vladivostok to Khabarovsk, performing the duties of a conductor, and visited the Khabarovsk College of Railway Transport.
"We agreed, the opportunity will be in Vladivostok to see everything and get to Khabarovsk, almost to be a guide," said Reshetnikov.
The girl thanked the minister for fulfilling her wish. According to Alyona, a conductor is a very interesting profession. She likes to travel and interact with people.
Khusnullin fulfilled the wishes of the two Anosov sisters from Gorlovka. Four-year-old Veronica, who enjoys aerial gymnastics, got a bicycle. Her older sister, 12-year-old Evgenia, who loves music and geography, received a wooden illuminated world map.
"His gift is not just a decoration, he can say that kindness unites all corners of our country," said Evgenia.
Meanwhile, Manturov fulfilled the dream of 12-year-old Milana Metleva from Ulyanovsk, who is interested in medicine. He visited the Institute with her. Sklifosovsky, where the girl tried herself as a surgeon on a laparoscopic simulator and studied endoscopy. Milana was also presented with a Russian-made microscope.
On January 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke by phone with seven-year-old Igor Stepanenko, whose dream was fulfilled as part of the "Wishing Tree" campaign. The boy visited the scientific research vessel Vityaz and the submarine B-413, examined the legendary deep-sea apparatus Mir-1 and the largest osteological exhibit of the museum — the skeleton of a sperm whale. In addition, a three-day excursion program has been organized in Kaliningrad for Igor and his family.
