In the classrooms of the French commune of Pantin, the temperature dropped to six degrees due to severe weather. This was announced on January 6 by BFMTV.

"When classes resumed, the heating did not work at Lavoisier High School in Pantin, and a snow storm broke out in the Ile-de-France region at the beginning of the day. In some classrooms, the temperature dropped to six degrees," the article says.

After turning on the heating, the temperature in the classrooms rose to 14 degrees. The teachers' assistants refused to work in such conditions, as did some teachers.

"Some teachers left because they didn't want to teach in such conditions," one student told BFMTV.

According to one of the school's teachers, this is not a similar case at Lavoisier High School.

"During last year's resumption of classes, there was the same problem with the heating not being turned on in time," he confirmed.

A day earlier, it was reported that traffic jams in Paris and the suburbs due to snowfall and the departure of vacationers reached a record length of 900 km. The A-6, A-7 and A-10 highways in the south direction were especially busy, as the first Saturday of January is traditionally considered "black" in France due to the mass departure of tourists.
