Traffic is open along one of the railway tracks on the stretch in the Amur region, where freight cars derailed the day before. This was announced on January 6 by the Russian Railways (RZD) company.
"At 8:30 a.m. (Moscow time), train traffic is open along one track on the Gudachi — Gonzha section in the Amur region. Work to restore traffic on the adjacent track continues," the carrier's Telegram channel says.
Passengers of some trains between Magdagachi and Skovorodino stations were transported through the barrier area by vehicles.
Travelers traveling on trains No. 2 Moscow — Vladivostok and No. 325 Khabarovsk — Neryungri have already continued their journey by train to their destinations. Passengers of trains No. 1 Vladivostok — Moscow and No. 326 Neryungri — Khabarovsk will do this in the near future after transferring from the bus.
The day before, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Amur region reported that 35 freight train cars had derailed. As a result of the incident, no one was injured. However, the railway infrastructure was damaged, and traffic on this section was temporarily suspended.
