Alexander Ovechkin, a Russian player of the Washington Capitals hockey club, scored his 913th career goal on January 6 in a match against the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League (NHL) regular season.

Ovechkin's score has become an all-time record. The match is currently 5-3 at the Capital One Arena in Washington.
