- The head of the RCBZ Rtishchev troops made gifts to three children as part of the "Wish Tree"
Head of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Forces (RCBZ) Alexey Rtishchev fulfilled the dream of three children as part of the New Year's charity event "Wish Tree" — he presented chess to Alexander Gorin, a projector to Mikhail Polikarpov and a ride on an armored personnel carrier (APC) to five-year-old Ivan Kostenchuk. This was announced on January 6 by the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
"On New Year's Eve, a miracle happened for Alexander Gorin, to whom Major General Alexei Rtishchev fulfilled his New Year's dream by giving chess to Mikhail Polikarpov, and Ivan Kostenchuk a ride on an armored personnel carrier as part of the All-Russian Christmas Tree of Wishes charity event," the statement said.
It is noted that the event has been held since 2018. The campaign unites thousands of people who are ready to do good deeds.
On January 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke by phone with seven-year-old Igor Stepanenko, whose dream was fulfilled as part of the "Wishing Tree" campaign. The boy visited the scientific research vessel Vityaz and the submarine B-413, examined the legendary deep-sea apparatus Mir-1 and the largest osteological exhibit of the museum — the skeleton of a sperm whale. In addition, a three-day excursion program has been organized in Kaliningrad for Igor and his family.
