Five passengers were injured in a collision between two buses and a trolleybus in the center of Simferopol. This was announced by the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Crimea.

"By now, it has been established that today, on January 5, 2026, the bus driver traveling along route No. 70 <...> collided with a trolleybus, which was thrown onto a stationary LIAZ bus," the report says.

The victims were provided with medical assistance on the spot. According to the agency, all the circumstances of the accident are now being established.

The day before, on January 4, a massive road accident occurred in the Rostov region on the M-4 Don highway, as a result of which four people were killed and four injured. A criminal case has been opened under Part 5 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules by a person driving a vehicle, which negligently resulted in the death of two or more persons"). The culprit of the accident was the detained driver of a road train, who was the first to collide with a car moving ahead.
