Fighters of the Center group of forces told the details of the liberation of Rodinsky in the DPR

Soldiers of the 9th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle of the Mariupol-Khingan Order of the Republic brigade of the 51st Guards Combined Arms Army of the Center group of forces shared details about the operation to liberate the village of Rodinskoye in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) from the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The footage is published on January 5 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The ministry clarified that the Russian fighters entered Rodinskoe in small groups, using various paths and routes. Each soldier of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation was supervised by unit commanders who carried out reconnaissance using unmanned aerial vehicles.

"Together with the battalion commander and the headquarters, we were planning a visit to Rodinskoye. <...> They came in from several sides, they came in both from the server and tried to get in from the southern part. <...> Such a layout was quite global," recalls the company commander with the call sign Heavenly.

The fighter pointed out the importance for his unit to be "one step ahead of the enemy," who, in turn, according to the information they had at the time, was broadcasting "relaxation."

Upon arrival in the settlement, Russian servicemen, having taken defensive positions, methodically carried out an assault on the AFU positions equipped in buildings and structures. This operation, as emphasized in the department, was carried out with the support of artillery crews and operators of shock FPV drones of the troops of the group's unmanned systems (UAVs).

The platoon commander of the unmanned systems with the call sign Farmer said that the Russian military managed to isolate the Ukrainian militants, and then, having forced them out, to stop attempts at a counterattack. Currently, those who have retreated from the native Ukrainian Armed Forces are hiding in the forest belt, where they are being identified.

"They tried to break through, but they didn't succeed. We are burning equipment, NRTK (ground-based robotic complexes. — Ed.), with which they are trying to supply some disparate groups there, there are remnants somewhere, we are burning, mining, NRTKS are being undermined, equipment is being undermined," he said.

After clearing the settlement and its outskirts from Ukrainian militants, soldiers of the 9th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Mariupol-Khingan Order of the Republic brigade of the Center group of forces unfurled the National Flag of the Russian Federation to mark the liberation of the city.

The Ministry of Defense announced the liberation of Rodinsky, among other settlements of the DPR, on Friday, January 2. At that time, the Center group of troops also liberated Dimitrov, Artemovka and Volnoye from the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
