The Ministry of Health warned about possible injuries if the fireworks are launched incorrectly.

Improper launching of fireworks can have serious consequences for human health, the most common include eye injuries, fractures of the hand bones and burns. This was announced on Monday, January 5, by Vladislav Malyshev, an orthopedic traumatologist, hand surgeon, and doctor of the emergency department of the R.R. Vreden National Research Medical Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the Russian Ministry of Health.

"What injuries are most common: hand injuries come first, since it is the hands that hold the pyrotechnic device. The most common are: finger and hand segment tears; multiple fractures of the hand bones; flexor tendon injuries; extensive soft tissue defects," he listed in an interview with RIA Novosti.
