Against the background of the US military operation in Venezuela, any state needs to strengthen its Armed Forces. This was announced on January 3 by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council.

"The operation in Caracas has become the best proof of the fact that any state needs to strengthen its armed forces as much as possible, <...> easily change the constitutional system in search of oil or something else," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
