The U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee has not been notified in advance of any possible military action in Venezuela, CNN reported on January 3, citing an informed source.
"Representatives of the administration of [US President Donald] Trump has not committed to informing congressional committees about possible ground strikes in Venezuela, although some lawmakers insist that they should be notified before military action begins," the publication says.
