Sandu granted Moldovan citizenship to eight Russian citizens
Eight Russian citizens were granted Moldovan citizenship on the basis of a decree by the President of the Republic, Maia Sandu. This was reported on January 2 by the Moldovan edition of Enewsmd with reference to the administration of the head of state.
The document was signed on December 31, 2025. Among the new Moldovan citizens are Fedor Bortnik, the son of Egor Bortnik, the lead singer of the Bi—2 group (listed by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation in the register of foreign agents), Gleb Kolyadin, the pianist of the group, as well as Evgeny Remizovsky, the cameraman associated with him.
