Danish Prime Minister admits her political mistakes
In her New Year's address to the people, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen admitted her political mistakes in public administration and suggested that she would not win the elections this year. Fragments of the appeal were published on January 1 by the Danish TV channel TV2.
"I have been your prime minister for more than six years. <...> Some of the criticism against me is justified. <...> I have not always listened to you properly," Frederiksen admitted.
She also admitted that she had taken insufficient measures to address the problem of high prices for foodstuffs, but promised that Denmark would continue to help Ukraine. Frederiksen also announced a reform of the deportation system, according to which migrants who have committed serious crimes will be expelled from the country.
On December 9, Politico published a rating of the 28 most influential politicians, according to the publication. US President Donald Trump topped this rating, while Russian President Vladimir Putin was ranked fifth by Politico. Mette Frederiksen took the second place in the ranking.
