By the end of 2025, Lada Granta became the most in-demand new car in Russia, and the demand for the Solaris HC crossover increased most noticeably. This was reported to Izvestia on January 4 by Avito Auto experts, who analyzed data on supply and demand for new cars in 2025 and compared it with the results of 2024.

Lada, Haval, Chery, Geely and Changan cars became the most in demand in 2025. Among the most popular models were Lada Granta, Haval Jolion, Lada Vesta and Niva Legend, Haval M6, Jetour Dashing, Chery Tiggo 4, Omoda C5, Geely Monjaro and Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max.

Among the cars that have appeared relatively recently on the Russian market, the demand for SWM (4.7 times), Evolve (2.9 times), Knewstar (+59%), Xcite (+49%) and Solaris (+9%) brands has grown most noticeably over the year. Among the models in this segment, the leaders in demand dynamics were Solaris HC (2.4 times), SWM G01F (2.3 times) and Evolve i-Space (+81%).

Every eighth car on the platform turned out to be a Lada, accounting for 13.2% of all new car ads. This was followed by Chery (11.5%), Haval (11.4%), Geely (8.2%) and Omoda (6.4%). The most offers are from Lada Granta (4.5% of the total number of ads), Omoda C5, Jaecoo J7, Haval Jolion, Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max, Belgee X50, Geely Monjaro, GAC GS8, Belgee X70 and Geely Atlas.

Compared to 2024, the number of car sales announcements increased most significantly (+18%), Geely (+10.4%), Changan (+6.9%) and Exeed (+4%). Among individual models, the supply of Tank 300 (+23.5%), Lada Niva Travel (+20.5%), Exeed RX (+12.1%), Omoda C5 (+10.2%) and Changan CS35 Plus (+9.6%) grew especially actively.

"This year, we noticed that Chinese brands have already ceased to be perceived as new players in the market — they have firmly entered the buyers' choice. The supply of cars from many brands from China continues to grow, but buyers have become more confident in this segment: they distinguish between generations, know the strengths of models, and compare trim levels," said Artem Khomutinnikov, head of sales at New Cars at Avito.

Earlier, on December 30, it was reported that according to the results of the last month of 2025 in Russia, prices for new cars changed for nine brands officially represented on the market.
