Emergency mode was introduced in Yeniseisk due to rising water in the river

An emergency mode was introduced in Yeniseisk, Krasnoyarsk Territory. It is valid from 10:00 a.m. on December 29. The reason is the rising water level in the Yenisei River. It turned out to be 17 cm higher than the critical mark of 1060 cm.

The situation is under control of the city services, writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency. The mayor's office said that up-to-date data on the level will be published every two hours.

According to the latest data, due to rising water levels in the Yenisei, water backflow in the Melnichnaya River has been recorded. Four household plots were flooded.

Traffic on two streets of the city is limited due to the threat of overflow.

Earlier it was reported that a high-alert regime will be introduced in the Krasnoyarsk Territory during the New Year holidays. It will run from December 31 to January 11. This became known after a meeting of the regional government.
