- The ceremony of awarding Commemorative plaques "For the continuation of the traditions of the Chamber Theater" was held
On December 25, the birthday of the Chamber Theater, the Pushkin Moscow Drama Theater held the 10th anniversary ceremony of awarding Commemorative Plaques "For continuing the traditions of the Chamber Theater."
The ceremony began with a minute of silence in memory of the outstanding actress Vera Valentinovna Alentova, who served at the Pushkin Theater for 60 years.
This year, Commemorative Plaques were awarded:
Alexandra Filippova is a candidate of art history, the granddaughter of Chamber Theater artist Yulia Khmelnitsky, who cherishes the memory of the Tairov Theater and shares her unique knowledge with her contemporaries.
"I am very grateful to the Pushkin Theater for continuing and restoring the traditions of the Chamber Theater. I want to give you unique programs from the 40s, which were carefully kept in our family," she said.
Philip Trushin is a sculptor, the author of the monument to Alexander Tairov and Alice Koonen, whose work reflects the effective element and the desire for genuine harmony inherent in the Chamber Theater.
"I am very grateful to the theater and to everyone who walked with me along the path of creating the monument. And I am very glad that the theater has regained its history. Since childhood, emotion has been very important to me in sculpture, and it was this emotion that I wanted to reflect in our monument — I hope it turned out," he said.
Vladimir Zhukov is the director of the Pushkin Theater, which made it possible to install a unique sculptural composition dedicated to the founders of the Chamber Theater.
"It was unexpected! This is the greatest honor for me, because I am the first non-creative person to receive a Commemorative Badge of the Chamber Theater. Thank you to everyone who helped us create the sculpture!" he said.
Awards are traditionally given to cultural figures whose work is marked by exceptional taste, style and talent in the spirit of the traditions of the Alexander Tairov theater.
