Fans of French actress and animal rights activist Brigitte Bardot come with flowers to her villa "La Madrag" in the vicinity of Saint-Tropez. The entrance to the territory is cordoned off by the gendarmerie. This was reported on December 28 by BFMTV.

The channel's correspondent showed live bouquets and portraits of the actress that people leave at the barriers at the entrance to the villa. The Saint-Tropez City Hall noted that Bardot "left a noticeable mark on the history of the city" and contributed to its worldwide fame.

The commune's administration said in a statement that the actress decided to settle in Saint-Tropez more than 50 years ago to devote herself to animal welfare. The mayor's office added that thanks to the Brigitte Bardot Foundation, her work will be continued, and her memory will be preserved.

Earlier, on December 28, it was reported that French actress Brigitte Bardot died at the age of 91. She was born in Paris, completed her film career at the age of 38, having appeared in 48 films. After leaving the cinema, she devoted herself entirely to animal welfare.
