A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Units of the North group of forces improved their tactical situation, defeated formations of the assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the areas of settlements in Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The enemy lost up to 140 people and 12 vehicles.

Military personnel of the Zapad group of forces struck Ukrainian formations in a number of settlements in the Kharkiv region and repelled two attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces aimed at breaking into Kupyansk. The enemy's losses amounted to more than 200 militants, a tank, two US-made M113 armored personnel carriers, three armored fighting vehicles and 10 pickup trucks. Five ammunition depots were destroyed.

The southern group of troops took more advantageous positions and lines, and also hit the equipment and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a number of settlements of the DPR. The enemy lost up to 155 soldiers, three US-made M113 armored personnel carriers, two armored combat vehicles, 13 vehicles and an ammunition depot.

As a result of decisive actions, units of the Center group of forces liberated the settlements of Dimitrov, Rodinskoye, Artemovka and Volnoye of the DPR. The enemy's losses amounted to more than 500 soldiers, three armored combat vehicles, a pickup truck and an electronic reconnaissance station.

The Vostok group of troops continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses and completed the liberation of the Gulyai-Pole settlement in the Zaporizhia region. Ukrainian formations were also defeated in a number of settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 185 people, two armored combat vehicles, four vehicles and a 155-mm M198 howitzer made in the USA.

The military personnel of the Dnepr group of forces actively liberated the Stepnogorsk settlement of the Zaporizhia region, and also hit the equipment and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a number of settlements of the Zaporizhia and Kherson regions. More than 60 Ukrainian militants, an armored combat vehicle, seven vehicles, an electronic warfare station and two warehouses of materiel were destroyed.

Operational-tactical aircraft, strike unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery groups of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated energy facilities used in the interests of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, workshops for the production of components for rocket engines, assembly sites for long-range attack unmanned aerial vehicles and their preparation for launch, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 148 districts.

A guided aerial bomb and 370 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by air defense systems.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 669 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 105665 unmanned aerial vehicles, 641 anti-aircraft missile systems, 26764 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1634 multiple rocket launchers, 32218 field artillery guns and mortars, 50197 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
