The average price of a children's chocolate gift exceeded 450 rubles

The average cost of a children's chocolate New Year's gift in Russia has reached 454 rubles. This was announced on December 28 by Anton Trenin, an expert from the ACRA Corporate ratings group.

According to him, the standard set weighing about 550 grams includes chocolate, candies, marshmallows and caramel.

"It is important to take into account that the production cycle from the purchase of raw materials to the appearance of finished chocolate on the shelf takes about six months. For this reason, the recent cheapening of cocoa beans has not yet had time to affect retail prices for the end consumer," Trenin explained to RIA Novosti.
