Gazprom announced record gas withdrawal from European storage facilities for Christmas

The maximum gas withdrawals were carried out from European storage facilities on December 24 and 25. This was announced on December 27 by the Gazprom press service.

"On December 24 and 25, despite the holidays, gas withdrawals from European UGS facilities were the maximum for these days in the entire history of observations," the company's Telegram channel said.

At the same time, it is noted that gas levels in Germany and the Netherlands have significantly decreased. Thus, in Germany, storage facilities are filled by 59.8%, and in the Netherlands — by 52.5%.

Earlier that day, Gazprom's press service reported that there was a difficult situation with gas reserves in the Baltic states, with the only storage seriously depleted. Insufficient gas volume in UGS can lead to gas supply problems for consumers in winter.
