Elena Blinovskaya, a blogger convicted of tax evasion and money laundering, is experiencing severe stress in the colony and has recently suffered an illness. Oleg Ostanin, the convict's father, told Izvestia about this on December 26.

"The mood is bad. The conditions, he says, are normal. There's a bed, there's food. <...> They work and sew during the day. Dating and visits are difficult there," he said.

He added that his daughter had recently suffered from an illness and spent three days in the medical unit of the colony. According to him, visits are allowed once every two months and only through glass with a phone. Long-term visits, according to his information, exist, but are provided for good behavior once every three months.

"We managed to meet and talk through the glass," he said.

Prior to this, information appeared on the Network that Blinovskaya was allegedly transferred to a "thug" squad in a women's colony. However, the press service of the Federal Penitentiary Service for the Vladimir region told Izvestia that this information was not true.

The blogger's lawyer, Natalia Salnikova, said on December 14 that Blinovskaya was serving a court-ordered sentence without any privileges. According to her, every sensation about a blogger in the media with unverified information complicates the process of serving a prisoner's sentence.
