The Prime Minister of Georgia announced the need to restore relations with the EU

The European Union itself should be interested in restoring relations with Georgia. This statement was made by Prime Minister of the Republic Irakli Kobakhidze in a New Year's Eve interview with the Georgian Imedi TV channel.

"Objectively, it is in the interests of the European Union to restore healthy relations with Georgia. When this is not done, we can logically conclude that the European bureaucracy does not act in a sovereign manner and does not meet the interests of the European Union and European society," the Prime Minister said.
