On December 25, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed Russian Agriculture Minister Oksana Lut to present farmers who achieved record harvests in 2025 with state awards.

"I will ask the Minister of Agriculture, Oksana Nikolaevna, to present, please, those who have worked in rural areas, to our villagers, not only in the Orel province, of course, but also in others, in the industry as a whole," he said during a meeting of the State Council.
