- Zakharova called the statements of foreign agents about Christmas trees in Europe "sneaking."
Foreign agents are trying to "grunt" by pointing out the presence of Christmas trees and illumination in Europe, allegedly contrary to Moscow's forecasts. This was announced on December 25 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry pointed to a distortion of Zakharova's words about Christmas coverage in Europe in the media, recognized by foreign agents. So, it was claimed that she allegedly predicted a complete absence of illumination in Europe for Christmas, while she noted that illumination would be in smaller quantities.
"And immediately our foreign agency fraternity begins, in modern parlance, to "grunt to the piggies" that this is all not true, and look at the Christmas trees. Yes, there are Christmas trees, but you check how and by whom these trees were paid for in Berlin," Zakharova said on the Rossiya 24 TV channel.
