- Activists from Zelenograd transferred more than 3.5 tons of humanitarian aid to hospitals for their fighters.
In almost three years, a team of volunteers from the capital's Matushkino district has delivered more than 3.5 tons of humanitarian aid to hospitals in Moscow and the region. This was reported in the press service of the Zelenograd administrative district prefecture.
Medical institutions receive food, clothing, and personal hygiene products. Trips to hospitals are organized every month. As a rule, volunteers bring about 100 kg of humanitarian cargo at a time, but there have been cases when it reached 500 kg.
On December 24, New Year's gifts were delivered to one of the hospitals: food for the holiday, socks knitted by community members, and other things.
The volunteer group consists of public advisers to the head of the district council, as well as local residents. It was created in February 2023. In total, the team of volunteers unites about 50 people. This year, the community became the winner of the Capital Stories contest — it was noted for the gratuitous support of its participants and residents of new regions of Russia. The Zelenograd team passed a two-stage selection process among 1,300 applicants.
Public advisers have been involved in the life of the city for more than 10 years, helping neighbors, implementing their own projects, conducting creative workshops, sports classes, group tours and doing charity work.
