The decision of the American authorities to impose travel restrictions on citizens of European countries is an attempt by the United States to question the sovereignty of Europe. This opinion was expressed on December 24 by the head of European diplomacy, Kaya Kallas.
"The US decision to impose travel restrictions on European citizens and officials is unacceptable and represents an attempt to question our sovereignty," Callas wrote on her page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
She stressed that Europe will continue to defend its values, in particular freedom of expression and fair digital rules.
