Speaking to the deputies of the Moscow City Duma with the annual report on the work of the Moscow government, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin summed up the results of the year and spoke about plans for the future, touching upon the main directions of the city's development.
According to the mayor of the capital, in the field of urban planning, the main goals are the effective development of urban areas, the creation of new development centers based on powerful transport hubs, and increasing connectivity of the large agglomeration of the Central Federal District with a population of 30 million people. Today, construction is one of the largest sectors of the capital's economy, Sobyanin stressed.
The Mayor of Moscow also touched upon the issues of economic development of the city. Today, Moscow has the second largest economy among the world's megacities. At the same time, by the end of 2025, the volume of investments is likely to exceed 9 trillion rubles, which is four times more than in 2010.
The Moscow social protection system actively helps veterans of the special operation. "The Voronovo Clinical Center has a unique prosthetic limb center for military personnel with the consequences of military trauma. A specialized polyclinic for military veterans has been organized on the basis of the war veterans Hospital," Sobyanin said.
The creation of the world's best system of mass accessible medicine has become one of the priorities for the Moscow authorities. Polyclinics and hospitals are being actively built and modernized in the city. In addition, a number of other projects are being implemented, one of them is the replacement of the outdated system of women's consultations with a network of modern women's health centers. There are already 16 such centers operating in Moscow, and next year there will be 25 of them. In addition, it is planned to complete 100% renovation of the capital's hospitals and implement a number of construction projects. Thus, new buildings of oncological hospital No. 62, a new medical diagnostic complex of the N.V. Sklifosovsky Research Institute, and a multidisciplinary medical and diagnostic complex of hospital No. 52 are already being built in Moscow.
