The National Security Archive: Bush Jr. praised Putin's speech in Munich

On December 23, the US National Security Archive declassified transcripts of conversations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart George W. Bush in 2001-2008.

"One of the qualities that I appreciate about you is that you weren't afraid to say all this to NATO. People listened attentively and did not doubt your position. It was a good speech," Bush said of Putin's Munich speech.
