Santa Claus went on a trip around the world on Christmas Eve
Santa Claus went on a trip around the world on Christmas Eve to deliver gifts to children all over the world. This was announced on December 24 on the website of the Joint Aerospace Defense Command of the North American Continent (NORAD).
The command launched an online broadcast that allows you to follow the route of Santa's reindeer sled in real time. According to TASS, the main Christmas character left the North Pole at 14:00 Moscow time and set off on a magical sleigh.
By now, Santa has already visited Micronesia and continues to move towards the Kuril Islands. In total, during the trip, he managed to deliver more than 700 million gifts.
On December 16, the Pentagon announced that a network of 49 radars, as well as infrared satellites, would be used to track Santa Claus' movements on Christmas Night, December 25. The Pentagon claims that as soon as the systems record the take-off of Santa Claus's sleigh, the command will begin to monitor their movement using infrared satellite sensors to ensure safety.
