"In the evening of December 25, at night and in the morning of December 26, snow is expected in the Moscow region, heavy snow in some places, a blizzard in some areas; sleet, sleet sticking, ice, gusts of westerly and northwesterly wind up to 15 m/s," the Moscow City News agency quoted the message.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations urged residents of the region to be careful and follow safety rules.
