Ivan Tertel, chairman of the State Security Committee (KGB) of Belarus, said that journalist Roman Protasevich informed the security forces about the scenarios of the 2020 opposition protests and the creation of "subversive centers." This was reported by the BelTA news agency on December 24.

"There was a serious percentage of data in this information that was extracted by Protasevich. Therefore, our law enforcement agencies acted quite confidently at that time, they knew how the situation would develop," Tertel said.
