Military personnel of the 9th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 51st Guards Combined Arms Army of the Center group of forces are currently deployed in the area of the village of Rodinskoye north of Krasnoarmeysk, Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was reported on December 24 in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
"Calculations of the units of the unmanned systems troops conduct round-the-clock aerial reconnaissance of the areas of the settlement and its surroundings. During combat operations, operators of UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles. — Ed.) reveal the locations of Ukrainian militants in houses and buildings, as well as the enemy's movement routes, and transmit the coordinates of objects to artillery units and drone strike operators," the ministry noted.
The group's artillery units are also working in close cooperation with the UAV operators. They carry out pinpoint strikes against targets that units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) use as shelters, firing points and defense nodes. Artillery support helps advance assault units in dense urban areas of the settlement.
A day earlier, the Ministry of Defense announced the capture of the settlements of Andreevka in the Dnipropetrovsk region and Prilipka in the Kharkiv region. In the Kharkiv direction, the troops managed to defeat the formations of two mechanized brigades, the assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and the air defense brigade in the areas of the settlements of Ryzhevka, Grabovskoye, Andreevka, Alekseevka and Yablonovka of the Sumy region.
On the same day, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov congratulated the servicemen on the liberation of the settlements.
