- The monument to Princess Olga in Pskov is planned to be restored by the summer of 2026
In Pskov, next year, they plan to repair and clean the monument to Princess Olga, located in the city center on Oktyabrskaya Square. Boris Yelkin, the head of Pskov, told about this on the Pskov News Feed (PLN FM) radio.
"We are currently developing design documentation for repairs. We have it planned for next year," Elkin said.
At the same time, the mayor noted that there are no funds for repairs yet, since there is no clearly defined amount necessary for restoration. The monument to Princess Olga is an object of cultural heritage, and therefore its repair needs to be worked out and planned.
Boris Yelkin also stated that the authorities are aware of the problem and the poor condition of the monument. They plan to put it in order by next summer.
In August, it was reported that the renovation of St. Anastasia's chapel, located near the Olginsky Bridge, had been completed in Pskov. The specialists cleaned the facades of mold and greenery, renewed the plaster, painted the doors, walls and shutters.
