It has been eight years since the opening of the VDNKh House of Culture after a large—scale restoration - it became the first restored object as part of the program to revive the country's main exhibition. This was announced on Tuesday, December 26, by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

He recalled that Pavilion No. 84, built in 1954, was one of the symbols of Soviet architecture and an important cultural center of VDNH, where concerts, lectures and creative studios were held. After the restoration was completed in 2017, the building once again became a point of attraction for citizens and guests of the capital, the Moscow City News Agency reports.

Sobyanin noted that during the work, specialists restored the facade, stage, dance floor, stucco decor and wooden interior elements, updated engineering systems and landscaped the territory around the pavilion. kp.ru .

According to him, today the House of Culture is one of the key leisure spaces of VDNH: comedy Theater performances, master classes, vocal, dance and acting classes are held here, programs for participants of the Moscow Longevity project are running, and the Inspiration International Art Festival is also being held, NSN notes.

The mayor added that since 2014, more than 40 cultural heritage sites have been restored at VDNH, and work on reviving the exhibition continues, Moscow 24 reports.
